Mission Statement

At PATC, our mission is simple: to train to excellence. Since 1987, we’ve dedicated ourselves to delivering impactful, affordable, and hands-on training that meets the real needs of public safety professionals. Through over 600 expert-led programs nationwide, we help agencies grow stronger, lead smarter, and serve their communities with integrity and skill.

Our History

Founded in 1987, the Public Agency Training Council (PATC) began with one goal: to make a difference through education. Our very first class focused on Child Sexual Abuse investigations, and from that single course, PATC has grown into the nation’s largest privately owned law enforcement training organization.

For nearly four decades, we’ve remained committed to helping public safety professionals sharpen their skills, strengthen their leadership, and better serve their communities.

Today, PATC offers over 600 specialized training programs across the United States and worldwide available through open enrollment seminars, in-service sessions, and co-hosted partnerships. Our instructors are experienced practitioners who bring real-world expertise and a passion for teaching to every classroom.

Each PATC course is designed to deliver a comprehensive, hands-on learning experience. Using their own materials, case studies, and multimedia tools, our instructors guide participants through clearly defined objectives, practical scenarios, and proven strategies that translate directly into their daily work.

At PATC, we don’t just teach we equip those who serve with the knowledge, confidence, and skills to make a lasting impact.
