SERIES OVERVIEW: For our chosen vocation, law enforcement, to continue to grow in the eyes of those we serve as a true profession, we need great leadership. Great leadership in every level of each organization. In this series, we will take a close look at great leadership and some of the qualities associated with being a great leader. In each session, attendees will be exposed to a particular leadership attribute as well as strategies to improve their own ability to lead in this area. Please note, just like great leadership requires no title, neither does this series. Sworn or non-sworn; Chief, Sheriff, Deputy, Officer, Dispatcher, Clerk; all are welcome and encouraged to attend. While you are encouraged to attend all 12, each session will stand on its own.
We all go in search of the perfect leader, the perfect employee, the perfect agency. In this session we will discuss why that search, while noble, is futile. We will also pay tribute to great leaders present and past in this special 9/11 wrap-up session.
