Thomas G. Tittle is a retired Captain with
the Marion County Sheriff’s Office in Ocala, Florida.
During Captain Tittle’s tenure in Major
Crimes, he has investigated numerous Drug Cases, Property
Crimes, Sex Crimes (Children and Adults), Child Abuse,
Robberies,
Death Investigations and Vice Cases.
Captain Tittle holds an Associate of Arts
Degree from Central Florida Community College in Ocala,
Florida. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the
University of West Florida in Pensacola, Florida. Additionally,
he is a graduate of the Southern Police Institute in Louisville,
Kentucky.
Captain Tittle has written various law enforcement
articles which have been published by the following magazines:
The Police Chief Magazine, American Police Beat Magazine
and Inside School Safety. He has composed 5 (five) law enforcement
training manuals used for instruction in the areas of: Domestic
Violence, Rape and Sexual Assault, The Child Pre-Interview,
Connection Between Child Abuse, Animal Abuse and Domestic
Violence and Moral America: What Went Wrong?
He has instructed for St. Leo College in
St. Leo, Florida on the topic of Domestic Violence. Furthermore,
he has addressed the Florida Sheriff’s Association,
State D.A.R.E. Officer’s Convention, National Association
of School Resource Officers, and National D.A.R.E. Officer’s
Association.
