Tim Dees is the Editor-in-Chief of Officer.com, a web portal for law enforcement that offers news, discussion forums, original articles, job postings, and internet resources for the police community. He was a law enforcement officer for fifteen years, in and around Reno, Nevada. He has published over 300 articles in nearly every national publication for the police community, many of them on technology applications for law enforcement. Prior to joining Officer.com, he was a full-time faculty member, teaching criminal justice courses at colleges in Nevada, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Georgia and Oregon. He holds a bachelor's degree in biological science from San José State University and a master's degree in criminal justice from The University of Alabama. He is active in several professional law enforcement associations, and holds the Certified Protection Professional credential from the American Society for Industrial Security.
