Pete King is a 34-year veteran of the Philadelphia
Police Department.
Pete’s experience ranges from patrol, felony plainclothes duty, and recently
as a Bomb Technician with the Philadelphia Police Bomb Disposal Unit, specializing
in electronic switching devices. As a member of the Bomb Disposal Unit he has
been part of many research and development programs that benefit the Bomb Disposal
community. He has been an instructor for the Philadelphia Police and the National
Tactical Officer’s Association, and is a certified hazardous devices
technician and a licensed general blaster in the state of Pennsylvania.
He is a member of the International Association
of Bomb Technicians and Investigators, the Society of Explosives Engineers,
World EOD, and the Pyrotechnic Guild. Pete’s expertise was called upon
after the World Trade Center Bombing, to participate as a member of a fact-finding
committee.
