Melissa has provided consulting services to state and local government, not-for-profit and private businesses since 1997. Areas of specialty include grant writing, policy development, information technology planning, standards development, needs assessment and research. Melissa has extensive experience with systems policy and planning in the criminal justice arena and with formulating policy and program solutions related to domestic violence. She has written many successful grants for a variety of organizations ranging in award from several thousand to upwards of ten million dollars.
Melissa developed a statewide crime reporting program and intitiated a records management system that is now used by over 300 law enforcement agencies in Ohio. She provided project management services to the state of Ohio's criminal justice information system steering committee. In this role, Melissa was instrumental in bringing millions of dollars to the state of Ohio for information system improvements. After a 10 year career in state government, Melissa served as Vice President of Operations for Lee and Associates, a grant consulting firm.
Melissa has completed her Masters Degree in Criminal Justice. She is a member of the Columbus Technology Council, The American Society of Criminology, the Midwest Criminal Justice Association, and Women for Executive and Leadership Development.
