Chief Dekmar is a graduate of the FBI Academy Session 142 and the FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Seminars, 42nd Session. Lou received his Master of Public Administration, Georgia College and State University, 1990 and Bachelor of Science, University of Wyoming, 1982.
Chief Dekmar has served as Chief of LaGrange, Georgia since 1995.
Chief Dekmar has served as Chairman of Training Committee and President of the Georgia Association of Chief of Police. He has served as a federal monitor for the Civil Rights Division for the US Department of Justice.
