Judy Pal has served as management and public relations counsel to public safety agencies, government, and the professional sports and entertainment industry. A former public relations consultant, broadcast journalist and news anchor, she served as a Public Information Officer, Communications Manager and Chief of Staff with major law enforcement agencies in the United States and Canada.
She has extensive communications experience dealing with sensitive and image-threatening issues such as criminal conduct of police officers, international scandal, fractured community and media relations, complicated major crime investigations, and perceived acts of terrorism. She is passionate about image development, media relations, crisis communications, and the use of social media. Pal has conducted workshops, training courses and provided one-on-one counsel for public safety, government, non-profit and professional associations; and security, retail, gaming, and business executives.
Pal is a Past President of the National Information Officers Association, and is a former columnist for Blue Line Magazine. She has served as an adjunct professor with San Jose State University and Mount Saint Vincent University in Canada; as well as being an instructor with the Institute for Law Enforcement Administration, Third Degree Communications, and is the senior international training partner for The Center for Advanced Media Studies.
