Pennsylvania State Police
After obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Slippery Rock University, Charles enlisted in the Pennsylvania State Police in 1995. For more than eight years of his law enforcement career, Charles has been assigned to the PA State Police Forensic Services Unit. During his tenure in crime scene investigations Charles has been involved in several high priority criminal investigations, and has played an influential role in the successful prosecution of numerous criminal arrests.
During the investigation of the September 11th crash of United Flight 93, Charles was detached to a Federal Bureau of Investigation Evidence Response Team and was deputized as a Federal Marshal. Charles was directly involved in the scene documentation and collection of physical evidence at the crash site.
Charles has lectured and instructed for several law enforcement agencies, community service organizations, and institutions. His courtroom testimony experience in criminal investigations includes criminal homicide, sexual assault, robbery, vehicular homicide, as well as numerous other offenses. Charles is recognized as an expert in several Pennsylvania Courts in the areas of crime scene management and evidence collection. |
