Chief Brian Jarvis is a 29-year veteran Law Enforcement Officer and Investigator, currently serving as the Chief of Police in the Town of Chester, New York, a suburb of New York City. During his law enforcement career, Brian has been involved in investigations in both New York State and the State of Florida. While in Florida, he served as an investigator in the Major Crimes Unit of the Marion County Sheriff’s Department and was later promoted to Sergeant-In-Charge of Major Crimes. The unit was responsible for the investigation of violent crime in the county, as well as white-collar crime and fraud. In 1998, he earned the rank of Chief of Police in the Town of Chester, New York.
Chief Jarvis has remained highly active in the field of training. He is an adjunct instructor at the Orange County Law Enforcement Training Institute and serves as the chairman of the training committee for Orange County, New York. Brian also serves as committee chairman for Stop DWI, public relations for the Police Chief’s Association of Orange County, and is co-chairperson of the Orange County Crime Victims Rights Coalition.
Chief Jarvis earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Information Systems from the University of Phoenix. He is an active member of the International Association of Chief’s of Police, National Association of Chief’s of Police, New York State Association of Chief’s of Police and the Police Chief’s Association of Orange County. |
