William L. Collins (Retired
Lieutenant) has been in law enforcement for over thirty-two
years. He served six years in the Army with the First
Cavalry Division. He served in Vietnam as a tunnel rat
and finished his tour of duty as a CID agent (Criminal
Investigation Division) at Fort Hood Texas. Bill is a
graduate of IUPUI with an Associate Degree in Criminal
Justice and a BA in continuing Studies. He served 28
years with the Carmel Police Department in Indiana. During
his 28 years, he worked as a Shift Commander, Laboratory
Technician, Defensive Tactics Instructor, and Detective
Sergeant in the Criminal Investigation Division. Bill
has worked everything from dog calls to homicides.
Bill
has worked and lectured on HOW NOT TO BE AN EASY VICTIM,
RAPE, COMPUTER CRIMES, STALKING, IDENTITY THEFTS, CRIMINAL
INVESTIGATION AND OTHER RELATED TOPICS.
Currently Bill instructs: IDENTITY THEFT, CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION, AND SIGN LANGUAGE
FOR POLICE AND FIRE.
