Public Safety Response to Returning Military Veterans & Subjects That Suffer From Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
Length of Seminar: 1 Day
Instructor: Dr. Robert Cipriano, Jr.
Course Overview:
Reports from the National Center for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) show that 60% of men and 50% of women will experience at
least one traumatic event. Reports have varied from 40% to 80% of our returning military veterans face some level of PTSD. Regardless of what percentage is correct
there is no question our veterans returning home are facing one of the most devastating economic job conditions, no social acceptance, not much assistance available,
and family relationship problems.
The purpose of this one (1) day training module is to help you recognize the signs and symptoms of PTSD and how to respond to calls for
assistance involving PTSD subjects.
